Planning your big day and knowing where to start is stressful enough before you starting the minefields of cakes, Nanny Sam is here to ease this stress and make your cake journey enjoyable and you assured you are in safe hands
This is a typical journey with Nanny Sam and the steps you can expect to encounter.
Step One
When should we book the cake?
It is only myself (Nanny Sam) whom designs and creates the cakes at Nanny Sam’s Cakes, I am a perfectionist with high standards so when it comes to my luxury cakes ensure they are given 110% of my attention.
Nanny Sam’s availability can be limited in wedding season as I get booked up in advance therefore it is recommended that when you confirm your date / venue to touch base with me. If you would love Nanny Sam’s Cakes to create your wedding cake then why not “save the date” of your wedding by paying a £50 non-refundable deposit – we can finalise your cake design and finer details at a later date.
Step Two
Wedding Cake Consultation
Nanny Sam will arrange an initial complimentary consultation with you which is an opportunity for us all to get to know each other. We can discuss your big day and vision, if you have designed your stationary, chosen your colours or have any photos of ideas please feel free to bring with you.
After the consultation having discussed expected guest numbers and potential flavours, Nanny Sam will send you a selection designs, provide you with accompanying quotations and arrange some cake samples*.
(*If you have not secured your date with Nanny Sam’s Cakes there would be a small cost for the samples which would be deducted from your order if you proceeded with a booking)
Step Three
Confirming your order
Once design, size and flavours of your special cake have been finalised Nanny Sam will send over a final invoice for your order deducting any deposit you may have already paid. The final balance for your cake is required a month prior to your big day, this can be paid in full** or you can spread the cost if easier.
One month before your big day Nanny Sam will contact you to confirm order details and ensure that nothing has been forgotten such as allergies or stand hire. Nanny Sam personally delivers each of her wedding cakes so will confirm delivery and set up arrangements / venue requirements and then leave you to enjoy the run up to your big day knowing that everything is in hand.
